Relume is an AI-driven builder for marketing websites: you paste in a short brief about the business, and it works through sitemap, wireframes and style guide to produce a site that is ready to publish. Unlike tools that have AI write page code from scratch, Relume's AI does not generate code — it selects and assembles from a library of more than 1,000 components designed and maintained by its own team, an approach the company calls "assembled, not generated". The result can be exported to Figma, Webflow or React for further work, or published and hosted directly on Relume. The platform is operated by Relume Tech Pty Ltd, based in Sydney, Australia (source: Terms), and the company says more than 1 million designers and developers use it (source: homepage, checked 2026-09-29).

The screenshot above shows Relume's homepage (taken 2026-09-29). The hero centers on a brief input box with a toggle between two paths — Publish (ship on Relume) and Export (take the work into design tools) — above a preview of the builder with its four stages: Brief, Sitemap, Wireframe, Design.

Background
Relume was founded in Sydney in 2020 by Dan Anisse and Adam Mura, whose previous company, social media analytics firm Lumio, had been acquired. Relume itself grew out of a design agency the pair ran before turning to product (sources: AFR, Memberstack customer story).
Its development falls into roughly three stages:
- November 2021 — a component library: Relume Library launched as a subscription library of pre-built components for Webflow and Figma, bootstrapped without venture funding (source: TechCrunch, Aug 2023).
- August 2023 — AI on top: the AI Site Builder launched, billed by the company as "the world's first AI-powered site builder that exports to Webflow and Figma" (source: PR Newswire, 2023-08-07). TechCrunch's coverage at the time gives an early sense of scale: about 54,000 users two years in, a team of seven, and OpenAI's large language model used to interpret prompts and turn them into wireframes in real time. Webflow's CEO publicly praised the product.
- 2025 onward — first outside money, then hosting: in February 2025 the AFR reported that Realbase founders Frank and Jacques Greeff had invested in Relume at an $80 million valuation — the company's first external funding. A month earlier, Forbes Australia reported that gettrumpmemes.com, the official site of Trump's meme coin, was built with Relume (sources: AFR, Forbes Australia). The company then launched Relume Publish (Beta), expanding from "generate, then export elsewhere" to building, publishing, hosting and continuously improving sites inside Relume itself. The announcement says users have built more than 2 million websites on its component system.
The team is around 20 people working distributed, led by co-founders Dan Anisse (CEO), Adam Mura (CPO) and Daniel Slater (CTO) (source: Help & Support team page).
Core capabilities
An AI workflow from brief to website
Relume splits site building into four consecutive stages, each open to manual editing before moving on (sources: homepage, Publish product page):
- Brief: paste notes, a client brief or an existing site's URL; the AI reads out the goals, audience and content, and the brief stays as context for everything generated afterwards.
- Sitemap: a full page structure generated in seconds, editable and regenerable, so page scope is locked before any design work starts.
- Wireframe: one click turns the sitemap into wireframes — the AI picks suitable components from the library and fills them with real draft copy, and both components and copy can be swapped.
- Style guide: colours, typography and spacing tokens that define the site's visual system, exportable to Figma or Webflow.
The design philosophy the company repeats is that the AI assembles from components that humans designed and tested, so the output is responsive, accessible and SEO-structured "by construction, not by luck". That is the main line separating Relume from prompt-to-site tools that generate raw page code.
The Relume Library

The screenshot above shows the Webflow library browser: categories such as Marketing, Ecommerce and Application UI on the left, layout and element filters, per-component copy buttons, and a counter reading 1,757 components at the top right (taken 2026-09-29). Alongside the Webflow version there is a Figma library (including a free, separately downloadable Figma Kit) and a React library whose page title claims 1,400 components built on Tailwind CSS and shadcn/ui. New components ship on the first Monday of each month ("Component Day"), and the roadmap is voted on by the community (sources: pricing page FAQ, Component Voting). Webflow users can pair the library with Finsweet's Client-First style system.
Export and integrations
- Figma: exports as editable files with auto layout and variables;
- Webflow: paste with clean Client-First class names; an official Chrome extension lets you pull components and sync the style guide without leaving Webflow;
- React: exports Tailwind CSS + shadcn/ui code;
- Claude Design: send the full design system — colours, type, spacing, components — into Claude Design in one click;
- Relume Library MCP: exposes the whole library inside AI editors, available on paid plans (sources: homepage, library page).
Publishing and post-launch growth (Publish, Beta)

The screenshot above shows the Publish product page (taken 2026-09-29), labelled Beta at the top. Visible are the builder's Style Guide panel (fonts, brand colours, colour schemes) on the left and the Publish button at the top right. Publish folds hosting into the platform: sites run on Cloudflare's global edge network with SSL, DDoS protection and a 99.99% uptime SLA; free sites go live on a relumesite.ai subdomain, while paid hosting connects a custom domain. Two features stand out (source: Publish announcement):
- AI Agents: after launch, four agents — Strategist, Copywriter, Designer and Analyst — keep proposing improvements grounded in the built-in analytics (a new campaign page, a CTA change), and the owner decides what ships. In the company's words: "They propose, you decide."
- Relumify: paste an existing site's URL and Relume reads its content, images and brand, then rebuilds it on the component system as a starting point for further improvement.
Accounts and pricing
Relume prices its two product lines separately, with a Publish pricing / Export pricing toggle at the top of the pricing page (figures below are the displayed prices as of 2026-09-29; "from" prices reflect yearly-billing discounts; source: pricing page):

- Export line (build in Relume, export to Figma/Webflow/React): Free tier; Starter from 40/mo; Team from $36 per user/mo (3 users minimum); Enterprise custom. Starter comes with a 7-day free trial.
- Publish line (build and ship on Relume): workspace Free / Pro from 0 (a
relumesite.aisubdomain with a Relume badge, capped at 1,500 monthly page views) and Launch hosting at 144 billed yearly; custom domain, badge removal, from 6,000 monthly page views, full analytics, unlimited forms). - Collaboration carries no per-seat charge: invite as many editors and clients as you like.
- Payments run through Stripe; refunds are available by email within 10 days of purchase (sources: Terms, pricing page FAQ).
Licensing and content policy
- Component license: you may use the components in any number of client and personal projects (a multi-use license) and keep the end products, but redistributing the components themselves is prohibited — no reselling, no marketplace uploads, and no copying components verbatim into public or private shared folders. The company states that every component carries a unique encoded signature used to detect plagiarism, and violations can lead to a permanent, non-refundable account ban (sources: Licensing Agreement, pricing page FAQ).
- Accounts: limited to a single user by default; multi-person use requires a Team plan (source: Terms).
- Data and AI training: the privacy policy says Relume may use customer data for AI training and service improvement (anonymised or aggregated where feasible), with an opt-out in account settings (source: Privacy Policy).
Who it suits
- Freelancers and agencies: turn a client's scattered material into a sitemap draft, wireframes or even a live marketing site quickly, compressing proposal and delivery cycles;
- Designers working in Figma or Webflow: let the AI do "70% of the project" (the founder's own figure in the TechCrunch interview) and finish the visual work in familiar tools;
- Front-end developers: use the React + Tailwind library as building blocks for marketing sites, or wire it into an AI editor via MCP;
- Small teams running marketing sites long-term: Publish's hosting, analytics and AI agents cover the optimization work that starts after launch day.
Limitations
- English-only interface, with no Chinese or other language versions; body copy under the
/japath is still English (checked 2026-09-29). - A recognisable look: every site is assembled from the same component system, so sites that skip deep customization tend to resemble each other — the flip side of the consistency that the component approach buys (an inference from the official "assembled, not generated" model).
- Publish is still Beta: labelled as such on the page and in the announcement; the site also states SOC 2 compliance is still pending, which matters for buyers with hard compliance requirements (source: Publish page).
- Browser limits: one-click component copying does not work in Safari — only Chrome, Firefox and Edge are supported (source: pricing page FAQ).
- Free publishing carries brand and traffic limits: free hosted sites always show the Relume badge and cap at 1,500 monthly page views; removing the badge requires Launch hosting (from $12 per site/mo).
- Ecosystem dependence: the export workflow is deeply tied to Figma and Webflow; in the TechCrunch interview the founder himself acknowledged the strategic risk that a dominant platform could cut off access.
Alternatives
- Webflow and Framer: full-featured visual site builders with hosting — the Webflow ecosystem is exactly where Relume's library and export workflow first grew;
- Wix / Universe: all-in-one AI site builders aimed at non-professionals; in TechCrunch's coverage, Relume's founder framed its difference as building on top of established design systems rather than trying to replace them;
- Unicorn Platform, Umso: lighter landing-page builders for single-page needs.
