Pitch (pitch.com) is a cloud-based presentation tool that positions itself as "the AI presentation workspace": teams create, collaborate on, deliver and track slide decks in one shared workspace, covering the full arc from first draft to client follow-up. It was founded in Berlin in 2018 by the team behind Wunderlist and launched publicly in October 2020; the site claims more than 4 million teams now use it (homepage, checked 2026-10-02).

Compared with incumbents like PowerPoint or Google Slides, Pitch differentiates on three fronts: a more design-conscious editor and template gallery, delivery features built for go-to-market teams (tracked share links, deal rooms, engagement analytics), and — since May 2026 — Pitch Agent, which embeds AI generation inside a team's brand templates and collaboration workflow instead of producing one-off, obviously AI-styled decks.

Background

  • Founders: Pitch was started in Berlin in January 2018 by eight friends (About page); the founding team previously built the to-do app Wunderlist, acquired by Microsoft in 2015. Christian Reber was the founding CEO; the current CEO is co-founder Adam Renklint (named Managing Director in the legal notice; Reber's blog byline now reads "Ex-CEO & Co-Founder"). Ulrik Bo Larsen serves as Exec Chair and President.
  • Funding: a 19MSeriesAannouncedinOctober2018,ledbyIndexVentureswithBlueYard,SlackFundandangelsincludingtheCEOsofZoomandDatadog([officialblog](https://pitch.com/blog/pitch−raises−19−million−from−index−slack−and−more));afurther19M Series A announced in October 2018, led by Index Ventures with BlueYard, Slack Fund and angels including the CEOs of Zoom and Datadog ([official blog](https://pitch.com/blog/pitch-raises-19-million-from-index-slack-and-more)); a further30M in October 2019 led by Thrive Capital (TechCrunch); and an $85M Series B in May 2021 led by Lakestar and Tiger Global (official blog).
  • Milestones: after a year-long closed beta with 25,000+ teams (including people at Intercom, Grammarly and Notion), Pitch opened to everyone on October 20, 2020. It passed one million workspaces in May 2023, shipped Pitch 2.0 in November 2023, and launched Pitch Agent on May 27, 2026, reframing the product as an "agentic presentation platform" (official blog).
  • Company today: operated by Pitch Software GmbH, registered in Berlin (Joachimstraße 7, 10119 Berlin), with a team of almost 50; the site names Perplexity, Pentagram, Ogilvy and Legora among its customers (About page, checked 2026-10-02).

Core capabilities

Editor and templates: the slide editor supports high-resolution video, animations, custom fonts and media embeds (YouTube, Vimeo and Loom content can be dropped onto slides; interactive embeds such as Airtable and Calendly require Team or above). The template gallery is organized by use case — pitch decks, marketing, sales, startups, design, proposals, reports — with the templates page advertising "100+" free designs and the homepage citing 150+, all fully customizable. Existing decks can be imported as PPTX files (Google Slides and Keynote decks must be exported to PPTX first).

The template gallery (screenshot, 2026-10-02) presents templates as author-attributed cards with category filtering and search.

Team collaboration: real-time co-editing, per-slide assignees and statuses, and comments are built in. The Free plan includes one teamspace and two external guests; Team and above add more teamspaces (sub-spaces per team or project), finer workspace roles (admin/creator/commenter) and larger guest allowances; version history covers 30 days on Team and is unlimited on Business (pricing comparison).

Sharing and delivery analytics: presentations are shared via live links; advanced links track each visitor's opens, per-slide views and time spent. Pitch rooms bundle decks and supporting assets into personalized deal rooms for specific clients, and from Team upward plans also include custom domains, PDF downloads for visitors, email capture, visit notifications and passcode-protected links. This "see what happens after you hit send" layer is one of Pitch's clearest differences from traditional slide tools.

AI (Pitch Agent and AI credits): launched in May 2026, Pitch Agent generates a full deck from a prompt, uploaded context files (briefs, call notes, CSVs) and a chosen template — and can first derive a branded template from your company website if you have none. Output stays fully editable, and you can keep refining in chat: rewrite copy, split or merge slides, regenerate images to match the template's art direction, or ask it to pressure-test the deck (e.g. which client objection is unanswered) and draft follow-up emails (official blog, help center). AI usage is metered in credits shared across the workspace: 100 one-off credits on Free, 500/month on Plus and Team, 750/month on Business. Admins can set a monthly credit budget or disable AI entirely in workspace settings.

MCP and API: a Pitch MCP connector lets AI tools such as Claude or ChatGPT find decks, draft presentations from context in other tools, and hand back tracked share links — via OAuth, on any plan. A separate API targets automation and is compatible with Zapier, Make and HubSpot workflows, so decks can be generated and shared when a deal advances or a form arrives. Templates with variables and API keys are restricted to Business and Enterprise (MCP page).

Pricing (as of 2026-10-02)

Prices below are from the pricing page. The site localizes currency by region — the browser-rendered page showed US dollars, the static HTML euros; figures are per seat per month.

Plan Yearly billing Monthly billing Notes
Free $0 $0 1–5 members; unlimited presentations, custom templates, basic sharing links, 2 external guests, 100 one-off AI credits; branded embeds/PDF exports, no PPTX export or version history, 10GB total storage
Plus $13 (€10) $15 1 seat only; 500 AI credits/month, custom fonts, video uploads, PowerPoint exports (see note below), 5 external guests
Team $19 (€15) $23 1–25 members; 25 advanced links, 3 teamspaces, 2 shared pitch rooms, 25 external guests, 30-day version history, co-presenting, interactive embeds, delivery controls such as custom domain and visit notifications
Business $25 (€20) $30 1–200 members; 750 AI credits/month; unlimited advanced links, teamspaces, pitch rooms, external guests and version history
Enterprise Contact sales — 200+ members; SAML SSO & SCIM, dedicated success manager, priority support, invoiced billing

Notes: yearly billing saves 17% versus monthly. Pitch does not offer a standard free trial — the FAQ says trials are available to some customers via support. The terms of use state that paid plans are offered exclusively to businesses/entrepreneurs (terms of use). One inconsistency to flag: the Plus plan card lists PowerPoint exports, while the same page's comparison table marks PPTX export as Team-and-above (as of 2026-10-02) — check the live page before purchasing.

Privacy and security

Pitch's infrastructure runs on AWS in European regions, with AES-256 encryption at rest and TLS in transit. As a German company it is subject to the GDPR, offers a DPA and has appointed an external data protection officer (security policy, privacy policy). Using Pitch Agent or the MCP connector routes deck content and context through AI processing, so data-sensitive organizations should review the AI policy and DPA first — or disable AI in workspace settings.

Who it's for

  • Sales and marketing teams producing on-brand client proposals at scale, using link analytics to time follow-ups.
  • Startups building investor pitch decks (Pitch published its own Series B deck), and creative agencies delivering design-led presentations to clients.
  • Teams already working in Claude, ChatGPT or automation stacks who want deck generation wired into those workflows (MCP connector, API).
  • Teams migrating from PowerPoint or Google Slides toward a more modern, collaborative tool (PPTX import supported).

Limitations

  • English only: the site, apps and help center are English-only, a barrier for teams working in other languages (observed 2026-10-02).
  • Free plan export limits: PDF exports and embeds carry Pitch branding, PPTX export and version history are absent — moving decks back into the PowerPoint ecosystem requires a paid plan.
  • Per-seat collaboration pricing: Plus is limited to a single seat, so real teamwork starts at Team ($19/seat/month yearly), and costs scale linearly with headcount.
  • Metered AI: AI generation consumes credits, the free allotment does not renew, and heavy AI users will need a paid plan with an eye on the credit budget.
  • Smaller ecosystem: compared with the vast template and add-in ecosystems of PowerPoint and Google Slides, Pitch's third-party resources and localized content remain limited; paid plans are contractually aimed at businesses.

Alternatives

Pitch maintains its own comparison pages against PowerPoint, Keynote, Google Slides, Canva and Figma Slides, which indicates its intended rivals. Readers prioritizing AI generation and collaboration may also compare Gamma, Beautiful.ai and Tome.
