Finary (finary.com) is the flagship product of a Paris-based fintech, built to answer one question — "what is everything I own worth right now, and how is it performing?" Through open-banking connections to more than 20,000 banks, brokers and crypto platforms worldwide, it consolidates stocks and funds, real estate, crypto, savings, startup equity and even watch collections into a single net-worth dashboard, then layers budgeting, fee-scanning and dividend-tracking analytics on top (official site, security page, checked 2026-10-02).
What sets Finary apart from pure trackers is the second layer it has built on top of visibility: action. Users can buy crypto, subscribe to the Finary Life insurance policy it distributes with Generali, and — at the top end — hire Finary One, its own private wealth management service. The company holds several French regulatory licenses: it is an ACPR-authorized investment firm (allowed to provide investment advice), an ORIAS-registered insurance broker and an AMF-licensed crypto-asset service provider (legal notice). It is therefore both a budgeting/analytics tool and a regulated investment provider, and readers should keep those two roles distinct.

The English homepage hero above (2026-10-02) shows the dashboard demo with a total-worth chart and the invest screen, alongside "1M+ users", a 4.7/5 App Store rating and "Available on App & Web".

Background
- Founders: Finary was founded in 2021 by Mounir Laggoune (formerly of Captain Train, later acquired by Trainline) and Julien Blancher (co-founder of AI startup Recast.AI, acquired by SAP), after both started investing and found no tool that could track all of their assets in one place. The company went through Y Combinator (About page, TechCrunch seed coverage, Maddyness).
- Funding: €2.2M seed in May 2021 led by Speedinvest with Kima Ventures; an €8M Series A in February 2022 led by existing investors Speedinvest and Y Combinator with angels including Qonto's two founders and Bitpanda's Eric Demuth; plus a €2.17M equity crowdfunding round the same year, raised from 983 Finary users in 21 minutes via Crowdcube. In September 2025 it closed a €25M Series B led by PayPal Ventures, with LocalGlobe, Hedosophia, Shapers and returning investors, joined by angels Axel Weber (former Bundesbank president and UBS chairman) and Harsh Sinha (CTO of Wise) — €38M raised in total, and the company says it has been profitable since 2024 (TechCrunch Series A, Crowdcube coverage, FrenchWeb Series B coverage).
- First acquisition: In October 2025 Finary bought Affluent, a financial-planning technology startup founded in 2023 by two ex-Qonto employees; the team joined to accelerate AI features and new financial products, terms undisclosed (Maddyness).
- Growth claims: 350,000 users tracking €120B+ on the platform in September 2024 (Finyear); 600,000+ users at the Series B in September 2025; the site now claims more than 1 million users and a target of €5B in assets within three years (as of 2026-10-02).
Core features: tracking and analytics
- Account aggregation: connects 20,000+ institutions via PSD2-regulated open-banking providers — Powens (approved by the Banque de France/ACPR), Plaid and Flanks — covering bank accounts, brokers (including US-stock brokers), life insurance, French wrappers such as PEA/PER/PEE, and crypto platforms. Access is read-only and Finary never stores banking credentials (security page).
- All asset classes: stocks and funds, real estate (with automatic valuation), crypto (including wallet addresses), savings accounts, precious metals, startup equity, crowdlending and collectibles such as watches; arbitrary assets and liabilities can also be added manually (homepage).
- Analytics: geographic and sector diversification scores, a fee scanner that uncovers hidden fees in life insurance, PEA, ETF and SCPI products and suggests cheaper alternatives, dividend and passive-income calendars, a recurring-expense scanner, budgeting and cash-flow tools, goal tracking, a 30-year wealth simulator with a "financial freedom age", monthly/weekly reports and a family mode (Finary Plus page, fee scanner).
- AI connector: a read-only MCP endpoint (public-api.finary.com/mcp) pipes your synced data into Claude, ChatGPT, Mistral, Perplexity, Grok or Cursor for questions about your own finances (official page).

The wealth-tracking feature page above (2026-10-02) shows demo connections to Revolut, Binance, Santander and Interactive Brokers, with a portfolio view holding an Amundi MSCI World ETF, Ethereum, a primary residence and Bitcoin.
First-party investment products and Finary One
Beyond tracking, Finary sells financial products inside the app — this side of the business is regulated activity:
- Crypto: buy and sell 25+ coins with optional DCA plans; trading fees are 1.49% on the free tier, 1.29% on Lite and 0.99% from Plus up. Staking and lending are provided by Bitstamp Europe (Luxembourg), euro balances are held with Crédit Mutuel Arkéa, and crypto assets are custodied by Finary itself using DFNS infrastructure (crypto page, security page).
- Finary Life: a French life-insurance policy underwritten by Generali, with 700+ unit-linked options (100+ ETFs, 500+ funds, 95 direct stocks, private equity), 0% entry/deposit/switching fees, 0.5% annual management fees on unit-linked funds, from €150, plus profiled portfolios built on BlackRock iShares ETFs (Finary Life).
- CTO & PEA: a standard brokerage account and the French PEA tax wrapper are still on a waitlist as of 2026-10-02 (waitlist page).
- Finary One: private wealth management launched in September 2024 (initially from €250k invested; the current site FAQ states €1M+), led by former Oddo BHF private banker Corentin Hué. It offers Luxembourg life insurance and securities accounts, structured products, private equity, SCPI, Lombard loans and passive ETF portfolios, with a dedicated private manager and Finary Pro access included (Finary One, Finyear launch coverage).

The Finary One page above (2026-10-02) positions the service squarely against traditional private banks, stressing that clients remain the decision-makers over their own money.
Pricing (as of 2026-10-02)
Standard prices from the pricing page (the page still shows an expired Black Friday 2025 promotion, not counted here):
| Plan | Price | Key differences |
|---|---|---|
| Free | €0 | Link 2 accounts, invest (1.49% crypto fees), 2 tracked goals |
| Lite | €54.99/year (~€1.05/week) | Unlimited personal account sync, 1.29% crypto fees, unlimited goals; 3-day trial |
| Plus | €149.99/year (~€2.88/week) | All analytics (fee scanner, dividends, diversification scores, monthly reports), 0.99% crypto fees, priority support; 14-day trial |
| Pro | €349.99/year (~€6.73/week) | Everything in Plus plus business/professional accounts and a holding mode for multiple business entities; 14-day trial |
Finary One is a separately quoted advisory service; the site says fees are transparent and decrease with invested amounts, but specifics require a conversation with a private manager.

The pricing page above (2026-10-02): four annual plans, Free forever, with Plus marked "Most popular".
Regulation and data security
Finary's distinctive trait is being a tool and a licensed institution in one. Per the legal notice (updated September 2026):
- Finary SAS is an investment firm authorized by the ACPR (no. CIB 19283, with AMF approval of its activity program) for reception and transmission of orders and investment advice, and is additionally authorized for account-keeping/custody of financial instruments; it is an AMAFI member.
- It is an ORIAS-registered insurance broker (no. 21001279, CNCGP member), which covers the distribution of Finary Life.
- Its crypto business holds an AMF PSCA license under the EU MiCA regulation (no. A2026-026 / N2026-008) for custody, order reception/transmission and transfers of crypto-assets; the older PSAN registration (E2022-057) seen on legacy pages has been superseded by this license.
On data security (official security page): bank connections are read-only, credentials transit via aggregators (Powens/Plaid/Flanks) and are never stored by Finary; data is hosted in Europe on Google Cloud, encrypted in transit (TLS ≥ 1.2) and at rest (AES-256); authentication is delegated to Clerk; the platform undergoes external audits and runs a bug bounty. The company says it does not sell user data and that its business model is subscriptions.
Community and content
- Forum: community.finary.com is a Discourse-based investor community that bills itself as France's No. 1 finance forum, with an English section; new integrations are prioritized by community vote.
- Community picks: the leaderboard page surfaces the ETFs, stocks, SCPIs and cryptos most held by the community, and Plus members can benchmark their own performance against it.
- Finary Talk & YouTube: the Finary Talk video show is still in production, and the YouTube channel promises two videos a week — a major acquisition channel for the company.
- There is also an ambassador program and a public product roadmap.
Who it's for
- France- and Europe-based investors whose assets are scattered across multiple banks, brokers and crypto platforms and who want one auto-updating net-worth view.
- Holders of French-specific products (assurance vie, PEA, PER, SCPI, employee savings plans): Finary's coverage of these runs deeper than international generalist tools.
- Cost-conscious investors who want a scanner dedicated to hidden fees in insurance and fund products.
- Users comfortable buying crypto or life insurance inside the same app at Finary's stated fees.
- Seven-figure portfolios looking for a digital-first private banking experience (Finary One).
Limitations
- France/Europe-first: the default connectable institutions skew French and European, and help-center sync guides cover almost exclusively French banks; coverage outside Europe is limited, making it a poor fit for users whose assets are mostly elsewhere.
- French-first content: the site defaults to French and large parts of the English version remain untranslated; the help center is offered in French, English and German (observed 2026-10-02).
- Conflicts of interest: recommendations such as fee-scanner alternatives can point to Finary's own insurance and crypto products, and the pricing funnel pushes subscriptions; Finary One's fees are not published and require a sales conversation.
- Restricted free tier: only 2 synced accounts, with most analytics gated behind Plus; €149.99/year is on the high side for a personal tracker.
- Sensitive data: even with read-only access, EU hosting and a no-data-sale pledge, handing your entire financial life to one commercial company warrants your own assessment (see the security page for the official wording).
- The promised CTO/PEA brokerage products were still a waitlist as of 2026-10-02, with no announced launch date.
Alternatives worth knowing
- Among the net-worth trackers reviewed in this batch, Copilot Money, Monarch and Lunch Money focus on the US market and do not sell their own investment products, while Ghostfolio is an open-source, self-hostable wealth analytics tool. Finary's differentiators are its French/European account coverage and its "tracking + licensed investment services" integration.
